Tearing out a mulch bed

Writer's picture: OG GrewellOG Grewell

Continuing on, we decided to just tear out the old mulch bed. This will allow me to continue on with my project and grade off the yard a little more. Really want this area to flow with the side that I had just ‘fixed’.

Landscaping fabric is just a huge lifesaver when it comes to this type of stuff. Pull each end, drag the mulch to the middle of the fabric, lift and dump into the wheelbarrow and done. Yeah, I spilled a little bit, but it’s fine.

Looks like I’ll be remaking this bed next year. It really is a good thing that I don’t mind doing this type of work…..at my own pace of course. I wouldn’t survive doing this stuff for a living again, I’m just too out of shape and enjoy my extended and frequent breaks.
