Spring time means cleaning gutters. It never fails, it gets cold in the winter before all the leaves finish falling, causing leaves free to clutter up the gutters. No sane person wants to take the time to clean their gutters after it's cold, windy, snowy and icy.
Yep, I always clean my gutters mid fall, then hit them again in the spring, to make sure they can get the water away from the house. Was a little late getting to them and wound up with a small wet spot in the basement. Not horrible though, building the basement I took care to use materials that could withstand a little bit of water from time to time.
