Metal detecting 1920's house. The first dig, Rescued 1 Coin

I've been wanting to metal detect my yard for several years now and decided to go ahead and start seeing what secrets my yard hold.

Taking a step back, this was my grandfathers house and he enjoyed collecting coins. I did find an Indian Head Penny on the property back in about 1982, which was given directly to my grandfather and he had seemed very pleased with the find.

Remembering the look on his face is why I want to search the property. Finding that old coin at a young age makes me wonder what else is here.

Today, we rescued one coin and several nails. We also located several pretty rocks, some pieces of older dishware. It's not just about the hunt for silver/gold, pretty rocks and some of grandma's broken dishes are cool too.
