How To Fix Gouges, Dents, And Deep Scratches In Hardwood Floors.
I decided it was time to fix a blemish on our hardwood floor.
I did this floor somewhere around 8 or so years ago and it's held up nice. I'm not entirely sure where this damaged part came from, but some of the wood appears to have split off and was taken out at some point. This damaged spot was then covered up with a rug for an unknown amount of time and with replacing the rug with a smaller rug we are now noticing it.
The wife got a splinter from it the other day, so it has become time to fix it. We sanded it down a bit, then messed up with the wrong stain, so back to sanding and then applied the correct stain. After that was 3 coats of Poly and it looks good as new.
