I've wanted a smart house for nearly 20 years now. That said, it's past time for me to start working on at least my first smart plug and well.....get my first echo. Went with the Heyvalue smart power strip
After over a week of running this thing, I am absolutely loving it. Typical morning consists of 'computer, turn monitor on', then checking some morning things on the internet. Typical evening is 'computer, turn speaker on' followed by me catching up on the daily stuff and maybe listening to some music.
Then, at 10pm, everything shuts down saving me a few pennies. If you look at it, it'll probably take a few years to recoup the money I spent on the dot and the plug, but it's my first step and I'm liking it.....a lot!!!
